Helen Wakeham MSc DipWEM is a water, land and environment professional with more than 25 years’ experience in environmental policy and regulation. Her career has spanned water quality and effluent sampling, research management, European Directive and Best Available Technique development, agriculture and land management policy and flood risk. She is currently deputy director of water quality, groundwater and land contamination at the Environment Agency. Outside of work she enjoys being in, on and under our rivers, lakes and bathing waters.
