Peter is Chief Operating Officer with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and is responsible for the delivery of water and waste water services to 3 million people in the company’s operating area in Wales, Herefordshire and Deeside. He is also the main Board Director responsible for Health & Safety and for delivery of the company’s current £1.7 billion investment programme. He returned to Welsh Water in 2006 following a 5 year period where he was a Director and more latterly Chief Operating Officer with United Utilities in their Operational Services business which provided out sourced contract water and waste services in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Prior to this he had a twenty year career with Welsh Water in various potable and waste water management roles. During this time he was also a senior manager with Hyder Operations, covering both regional electricity and water network’s. He is also a Non Executive Director with the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme representing Wales in relation to the standard of materials and workmanship used in the water supply industry.
