Paddy Brow is Northern Ireland Water’s Head of Living with Water Programme, which is developing a Strategic Drainage Investment Plan for Belfast that should deliver significant investment in drainage and wastewater treatment improvements for Belfast between 2020 and 2027. Prior to March 2017 he was seconded to the Department for Infrastructure for 2 years to help establish the programme and then lead it as Programme manager.
Paddy joined Northern Ireland Water in 2007 and was programme manager for Northern Ireland Water’s first regulated business plan submission PC10. As Asset management’s head of strategy, he initiated the development of Northern Ireland Water’s asset standards and asset strategies. He was project manager for the capital elements of the PC15 business plan and coordinated Northern Ireland Water’s input to the Northern Ireland Executive’s long-term water strategy that was published in 2016.
Prior to joining Northern Ireland Water Paddy worked as a consulting engineer from 1992 on large projects for six UK water companies and the English Environment Agency.
Paddy is a Chartered member of CIWEM, a Fellow the Institution of Civil Engineers, a board member of the UK Water Industries Research Company ‘UKWIR’, and is a member of the WaterUK’s Delivering 21st Century Drainage Programme Board.
